We opened our Waves NC location in 2007 with the hopes of being the best gift store on Hatteras Island. We wanted to provide our visitors with an alternative to the typical beach store and to carry merchandise that is unique, but affordable! We believe we are well on our way to achieving that goal, as evidenced by the fact that we now proudly serve many repeat customers. Our customers look to us for great quality, and truly unique products reminiscent of their Hatteras Island vacation, which they are proud to give as gifts or to enhance their own homes.
We want to provide the kind of customer service that cannot be found at the "Big Box" stores, and so we concentrate on carrying jewelry, pottery, art, and gift items from local and regional artists. We are personally acquainted with the artists, and we deal with them to order custom items when customers request a truly special treasure!
